Pantone announced its 2024 Color of the Year: “Velvety and Soft Peach.” The hue evokes the velvety softness of fruit and a sense of pleasure, the institute says. It also “enriches the mind, body, and heart.”
The Soft Peach, listed in the Pantone table as 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, is warm and cozy. It highlights our desire for connection with others, the institute noted.

This peach shade suggests care and heartfelt communication, Designboom reported. The shade 13-1023 Peach Fuzz is described as “a gift of feelings that creates a symbiotic connection between our taste, sight, touch, and smell,” Pantone staff remarked on social media.
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, commented on the choice: “The color radiates warmth and modern elegance. It resonates with empathy, offers tactile hugs, and effortlessly blends youth with the eternal.”
Pantone’s 2023 Color of the Year was Viva Magenta, a raspberry red.
The Pantone Institute has been selecting colors of the year since 2000. This process takes place during secret meetings in one of the European capitals. According to the institute’s experts, the main color of the year should reflect the spirit of the times. Pantone says Peach Fuzz embodies the warmth and tenderness many people are seeking.
