On his YouTube channel ND-Woodworking Art, Vietnamese craftsman Truong Van Dao amazes the world with his original wooden inventions. Recently he added a strange, unusual creation to his collection: a wooden car that resembles a time machine.
This time, Truong Van Dao made a wooden car for his son with large external wheels, and he had help from artificial intelligence. Designboom reported that the AI came up with a futuristic design for the structure and unusual components of the machine.
The end result is a functional car with a handcrafted body and sculptural details that make it look like a time machine. Attention to detail shows from every angle: the giant wheels, precisely shaped gears, and smooth rim design. The vehicle combines wood with a metal suspension and frame. Inside the slow-moving car there’s room for one person.

Truong Van Dao explained that the work on the conceptual car began with a metal chassis. He handcrafted each body part from light wood — from the curved wheel rims to the cogwheels and quirky moving parts that move with the vehicle. He finished the project by adding a set of headlights. The vehicle is also equipped with four giant batteries.
