Apple Pie
200 g margarine, melted
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1-2 tablespoons sour cream
1-2 tablespoons sunflower oil
1 packet baking powder
2 1/2 cups flour
optional – cinnamon. I like it.
Mix the warm melted margarine with the eggs beaten together with the sugar, then add the remaining ingredients—sprinkle the baking powder into the flour. Use a mixer if you like. The batter should be about the consistency of sour cream. Grease a baking dish with oil and sprinkle it with semolina, then pour the batter into the dish and top it with sliced apples (cherries work well too); they will sink into the batter. Bake the pie until it is set, let it cool, and dust it with powdered sugar. Trust me, this pie is so delicious it’s worth trying!
