URB, an architectural firm in the UAE, unveiled plans for the Agri Hub, a massive agritourism center designed to be carbon neutral. The designers hope to astonish visitors in Dubai with an attraction that until now existed only in dreams.
Known for its bold architecture and tech, Dubai often surprises guests with one-of-a-kind experiences. Now the goal is to transform the desert into a vast eco-space focused on agritourism.
Agritourism blends agriculture and tourism. It’s a growing sector that boosts rural economies by bringing visitors who come for relaxation, entertainment, education, and to buy organic products—directly helping local farms.

The Agri Hub would be powered entirely by renewable energy. From above, it will look like a scene from a bright-future fantasy: a serpentine, monumental structure ringed by lush greenery, housing commercial, educational, and entertainment spaces.
The intricately designed building, decorated with geometric patterns, will immerse visitors in a neo-agricultural aesthetic, creating a strong connection to nature indoors and out. The Agri Hub’s farmland, along with islands of trees and flowers, will blend into Dubai’s landscape.
Balanced Ecology – The Highest Value
The architects say the project aims to set a global benchmark for rural ecotourism in the region. The new center will offer economic, educational, and social benefits to tourists, farmers, and local communities. It will also provide farmers with additional income, as guests will purchase products directly from their farms. At the educational venues within the Agri Hub, tourists and local residents will learn innovative methods for growing and producing food.
Designboom reports that farm products will be used in the kitchens of the many restaurants inside the agritourism center, introducing guests to local organic cuisine.
The Agri Hub’s creators also want to build an institute of agricultural technologies alongside ecotourism, health, entertainment, and trade centers. The institute would research industry development and test innovations for the green economy.

More than 10,000 workers are expected to find jobs across the Agri Hub’s many sectors.
The Agri Hub’s carbon-neutral operations are intended to model the future of agriculture. Other environmental features include renewable energy, water recycling systems, biosaline agriculture, waste management, and zero-emission transportation.
URB CEO Baharash Bageryan said the Agri Hub will give farmers spaces to sell products directly from their farms and will offer visitors eco-friendly shops, restaurants, and entertainment. ‘This ambitious project will not only create a new experience for Dubai’s rural areas and wildlife, but it will also contribute to the health, well-being, and prosperity of local farmers,’ Bageryan said.
