Apricots are valued for their ability to boost immunity, promote heart health, enhance vision, and aid digestion. These fruits are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and minerals. Vitamins A, C, and E in apricots protect the body from free radicals.
Ingredients (for 3 liters): apricots – 700 g; sugar – 300 g; lemon – ½ piece; orange – ½ piece; citric acid – 1 teaspoon.
If you’re preparing this homemade “Fanta” for the winter, sterilize a three-liter jar over steam and boil the lid.
Wash the ripe apricots, pit them, and halve them. Slice the citrus fruits into rounds. Place the apricots into the sterilized jars, sprinkle with sugar, add the orange and lemon slices, and include the citric acid.
Pour boiling water over the fruits, filling the jar to the brim.
Seal the jar, turn it upside down, cover it with a blanket, and let it cool completely. After that, store it in a cool, dark place until winter.
If you’re not planning to preserve it, there’s no need to sterilize the container: simply cool the finished drink and pour it into a pitcher.
Life Hack
Blanch the orange and lemon in boiling water before adding them to the drink to remove any bitterness.
