Ingredients:
- 200 g margarine or very soft butter (about 7 oz)
- 2 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar (white or brown) or a sweetener to taste
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 100 g chopped nuts (about 3.5 oz)
Beat the butter with the sugar and egg yolks until creamy. Add the sifted flour, cocoa powder mixed with baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients until smooth. Stir half of the nuts into the dough. Gradually add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough is soft and slightly sticky. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into balls between your palms. The dough should not stick to your hands. Roll each ball in the remaining nuts and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake the cookies for 15–20 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
