Honey Gingerbread Cookies to Spark Your Creativity

Ingredients:

1.5 cups granulated sugar or 250 g powdered sugar
200 g butter
700–710 g flour
3 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
180–190 g honey
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger

Bring the honey and spices to a boil. Melt the butter.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar or powdered sugar. Combine everything, adding the baking soda and flour.
Knead the dough well. Refrigerate the dough for 6 hours.
Knead the dough again before baking.
Bake the cookies on parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Roll the dough out to about 5 mm thick, trace your templates, and cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
Bake at 150–160°C (about 300–320°F, depending on your oven).
Remove the cookies from the parchment and place them on a table. Put a board or glass on top to flatten the cookies.
Decorate the cookies, or stick a wafer image on them.
