250 g margarine (approx. 0.55 lbs)
250 g lard (approx. 0.55 lbs)
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp ammonium bicarbonate
vinegar
3.5 cups flour
½ cup poppy seeds
Cream together the margarine and lard with the flour.
Beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the ammonium bicarbonate mixed with vinegar, and stir in the poppy seeds.
Knead until you have a soft dough.
Roll the dough out (not too thin), cut out shapes with a cookie cutter or a glass, and bake until golden brown!
You don’t need to grease the baking sheet, as there’s enough fat in the dough.
