HouseWife compared the diets of celebrities including Kate Middleton, Adele, Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, and Madonna.
What Do Celebrity Diets Rely On?
The first thought is that wealthy people have access to foods that won’t make them gain weight. Maintaining an ideal physique does require sensible nutrition. But healthy eating isn’t just about ‘golden’ superfoods, molecular gastronomy, or boutique organic labels. Sprouted seeds, herbs, nuts, and dried fruit aren’t so expensive that this supposed panacea for extra pounds is out of reach.
Despite having access to Michelin-starred tastes, many rich celebrities choose intermittent fasting or raw-food approaches over elaborate tasting menus. They favor fibrous vegetables and fruit, water-based cereals, low-fat dairy, and green and protein smoothies. They also keep up workouts and yoga: willpower and consistent exercise are major components of these routines.
Sirtfood – Adele’s Diet
By 33, the British singer — who’d struggled with her weight since youth — revealed an astonishing transformation. The 15-time Grammy winner found the motivation to lose 45 kg in about a year, pairing Pilates with the Sirtfood diet.
This trendy plan, developed by nutritionists Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, aims to boost energy while promoting weight loss. Sirtfood is designed to burn fat while preserving muscle mass, which is why some athletes experiment with it. The sirtuin-focused diet emphasizes foods containing resveratrol and other compounds that activate sirtuin proteins. It also involves a sharp calorie reduction — a point critics highlight — and proponents say it can improve insulin sensitivity, which is linked to conditions such as diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular problems, obesity, and cancer.
Permissible Foods
The Sirtfood diet includes walnuts, buckwheat, soy, red onions, turmeric, cabbage, celery, dill, parsley, arugula, capers, dates, citrus fruits, apples, blueberries, strawberries, olive oil, dark chocolate, coffee, green tea, and red wine (in moderation).
Green Juice Recipe
Blend kale, arugula, parsley, celery, apple, and half a lemon. Dilute the juice with green tea or water if desired.

Diet Plan
The first phase lasts one week, and the maintenance phase is longer. The initial part is stricter; the later phase is designed to help preserve results. The first week can produce a loss of at least 3 kg. Repeat this short detox every three months even while following the Sirtfood approach regularly.
From day one to day three, stick to a daily intake of 1,000 calories: three glasses of green juice and one Sirtfood-style meal. From day four to day seven, increase to 1,500 calories per day: drink two glasses of green juice and eat two Sirtfood meals. In the second phase, have one glass of green smoothie half an hour before meals and consume Sirtfood items up to three times a day (finish by 7 PM). After the strict phase, return to a normal eating schedule but keep Sirtfood foods in your diet and eliminate fast food.
Angelina Jolie’s Grain Diet
Once known for protein shakes and lean meats, Angelina Jolie later adopted a raw-food approach. For a long time her meals featured pumpkin and flax seeds, nuts, and whole grains such as the ancient grain spelt. She also includes common grains like millet and buckwheat. Jolie has compared buckwheat to exotic seeds like chia or quinoa, noting buckwheat’s micronutrients and iodine, which tropical superfoods often lack. Buckwheat also provides magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, B vitamins, rutin, fiber, amino acids, and complex carbohydrates. Whole grains deliver slow-release carbs, B vitamins, and minerals, while seeds and nuts supply essential fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins, plant protein, and fiber.

Jolie has been open about her eating habits and sometimes promotes them. She says a strict regimen rejuvenates her skin and keeps her weight in check; reports claim her daily menu once contained less than 600 calories. Many nutritionists have criticized such a low intake, pointing out the risk of nutrient deficiencies and warning that diets under 800 calories can harm metabolic processes.
Tabloid reports claimed she was hospitalized for anorexia when her weight fell to 35 kg at a height of 170 cm (down from about 65 kg during her Lara Croft days). Nutritionists advised Jolie to add vegetables, greens, fruit, fish, and dairy to her diet.
Madonna’s Five-Day Diet
Defying age, the ageless diva pairs her gym routine with a short, rejuvenating express diet.
Monday
Eat any fruits except bananas.
Tuesday
Eat only green vegetables; for dinner have one boiled potato with oil.
Wednesday
Eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want, except potatoes.
Thursday
Eat three bananas and drink low-fat milk.
Friday
Eat six tomatoes and a cabbage salad dressed with olive oil.

Kate Middleton’s Royal Diet
The foundation of the pre-wedding diet followed by the slender wife of British Prince William was a carbohydrate-restricted regimen. Kate Middleton stayed loyal to that approach. The program from French nutritionist Pierre Dukan aims to normalize metabolism and can produce large weight losses over a short period, according to its proponents. One hallmark of the plan is consuming oat bran with a lot of still water (about 1.5 to 2 liters a day).
Phase One: Attack
Start with protein foods — egg whites, seafood, fish, and meat. During this stage, fat is burned, swelling decreases, and skin firms. The phase length depends on your goal: two days to lose under 5 kg, five days for up to 10 kg, and a week for larger goals. Expect a loss of roughly 3–7 kg in this segment, depending on starting weight.
Phase Two: Cruise
Alternate between protein days and protein-plus-carbohydrate days. The diet includes lean boiled or baked meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, unsweetened apples, kiwi, and low-fat dairy. To lose up to 15 kg, alternate on a 1/1 or 3/3 schedule; for more weight loss, use a 3/3 or 5/5 scheme.
Phase Three: Stabilization
During stabilization, reintroduce other fruits, whole-wheat pasta, and cereals. Allow 10 days of stabilization for every kilogram lost.

Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Effortless’ Diet
The Friends star seems to get better with age, thanks to yoga and a health-focused lifestyle. Aniston avoids ‘heavy’ foods, following guidance from nutritionists Jewels and Jill Elmore.
Vegetables make up about 75% of her diet — raw, sautéed, or grilled. Favorites include Greek salad, zucchini with basil, broccoli, and celery. She gets fats from nuts, fatty fish, oil, and avocado; protein from cheese and poultry; and carbs from corn tortillas and peaches. Occasionally she practices 16/8 intermittent fasting. For workouts, Aniston prefers cycling to spending hours in the gym.

Sophia Loren’s Three-Day Diet
The legendary actress has long maintained slim legs, a narrow waist, and proud posture. At 173 cm tall, she weighs around 60 kg. Loren enjoys pasta with low-fat sauces and plenty of vegetables. Her main secret is small portions: she eats little but often and stays active between meals. For quick correction, she uses her famous three-day plan, which she promotes widely. The diet features eggs, raw fruits and vegetables, green salads, spinach, low-calorie dressings, seafood, low-fat dairy, whole-wheat pasta, and lean poultry.
Day One
Breakfast: one hard-boiled egg with 170 g of fresh orange juice.
Lunch: a large salad of fresh vegetables, 60 g of boiled turkey, and low-fat cheese wrapped in lettuce leaves.
Dinner: 15 g of pasta with shrimp dressed with a low-calorie sauce, plus a spinach salad.
For dessert after each meal: an apple.
Day Two
Breakfast: a bowl of coarse-grain porridge with skim milk.
Lunch: 250 g of low-fat cheese and a serving of fresh fruit salad.
Dinner: 115 g of spaghetti with steamed turkey meatballs and a chopped green salad with a lean dressing.
For dessert after each meal: a pear.
Day Three
Breakfast: low-fat cottage cheese (no more than 250 g).
Lunch: 60 g of boiled chicken and 120 g of green leafy salad.
Dinner: 170 g of lasagna made with low-fat cheese and a large mixed green salad with a low-fat dressing.
For dessert after each meal: a peach.
This plan is meant to revitalize the body and can be followed twice a month.

Julia Roberts’ Cleansing Diet
The goal is to ‘wash’ the body by clearing waste and toxins. The plan centers on raw vegetables and water, with nuts and seeds allowed throughout the day. Acceptable drinks include herbal infusions and mildly acidic water.
Breakfast: vegetables and warm water with lemon juice.
Lunch: raw vegetables in any quantity.
Dinner: a vegetable salad with nuts or sunflower seeds, without dressing (only lemon juice may be added).

These kinds of regimens are often promoted for weight loss and improved health.
